Igor spoke at a press conference before the match against Afghanistan.

I will resign if I don’t take Team India to the third round. I am leaving all the honor and respect I have received in these five years. A draw is a loss for us. Igor said that they are preparing for the match against Kuwait in June. The match against Afghanistan will be Sunil Chhetri’s 150th international match. IIFF will honor him on this occasion.

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) announced the 25-member squad for the World Cup qualifiers. The Indian team has two goalkeepers, eight defenders, ten midfielders, and four forwards.

Goal Keepers: Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Amarinder Singh, and Vishal Kait.

Defenders: Akash Mishra, Mehtab Singh, Rahul Bheke, Nikhil Pujari, Subhashish Bose, Anwar Ali, Ame Ranawade, and Jai Gupta.

India is currently third in Qualifier Group-A with three points. Kuwait continues to be in second place. Team India will overtake Kuwait if they win against Afghanistan in Guwahati on March 22. Chhetri Sena will face Kuwait as part of the second-stage qualifier. Hyderabad will be the venue for this fight to be held on June 6.
