Bengaluru, March 22: Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL) has informed that the timings of our metro trains will be changed only on scheduled dates due to these two reasons.
Marathon and Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) will be organized in Bangalore. Due to this, there will be a change in the metro traffic timings for a few days. In addition, the authorities have decided to issue paper tickets for the convenience of cricket lovers.
This March 24 (Sunday) BMRCL will start its train services from all its four terminals at 04:30 AM instead of 07:00 AM and interchange station Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Metro Station-Majestic. This has been done to facilitate people to have a hassle-free journey by metro to participate in the Bidadi Half Marathon scheduled at Bidadi Industrial Area, Bangalore.

In view of TATA IPL T-20 cricket matches to be held in Bengaluru, BMRCL has extended its last train services from all four terminal metro stations till 11.30 pm on March 25, 29 and April 02. Metro runs till 11 pm on normal days.
Know paper ticket facility, price
Return journey paper tickets for scheduled matches in Bengaluru at Rs. 50/- available at all metro stations. These tickets will be available for sale from 2 p.m.
Paper tickets are valid for single journey only at Cubbon Park and MG Road metro stations to any other metro stations. BMRCL said that from 8 pm on the day of distribution till the end of extended services for the day and no tokens will be issued.

Passengers can still use QR code tickets, smart cards and NCMC cards as usual. The public is advised to purchase QR tickets before the start of the cricket match for hassle free return journey through WhatsApp/Naam Metro App/Paytm. To avoid crowding at the ticket counters for purchasing tickets at Cubbon Park and MG Road Metro stations, paper tickets are issued to passengers. BMRCL said in a release that this should be taken advantage of.
