Veteran actor M. Emmett Walsh, known for his roles in films like Blade Runner and Blood Simple, died on Tuesday (March 19) at the age of 88. According to reports, Walsh’s manager, Sandy Joseph, confirmed the news and said that the cause of his death was cardiac arrest.
Born in Ogdensburg, New York, on March 22, 1935, Walsh’s career spanned more than five decades. He played a variety of characters during his extensive career.
