Ujjain:On the occasion of Dhulendi, a fire broke out during Bhasmarti in the Mahakal temple of Ujjain. Due to this, a total of 14 people, including a priest, a priest, and a servant, got burned. Thousands of devotees from India and abroad were present in the temple during the incident. Some priests are said to be seriously injured. The condition of the remaining people is said to be normal. More than half a dozen priests were referred to Indore for treatment.

Three priests have been discharged from the hospital after first aid. After Indore, CM reached Ujjain to inquire about the well being of the injured. Speaking to the media, he described the incident as unfortunate and said that financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh has been announced for the injured. The injured will also be given better treatment.
CM said that this incident is an alarm bell.
CM Dr. Mohan Yadav said that by the grace of God no major accident happened. In a way, this is an alarm bell, we will try to ensure that such incidents do not happen in future. I have seen injured people in both Ujjain and Indore. Orders have been given to investigate the incident. The injured will be given proper treatment and we have asked the administration to provide assistance of Rs 1 lakh each. We will take necessary steps to ensure that such incidents do not happen again.
First of all, CM Dr. Mohan Yadav reached Aurobindo Hospital in Indore and inquired about the well being of the injured. He also gave instructions for better treatment of seriously injured Satyanarayan Soni. CM announced assistance of Rs 1 lakh for the treatment of the injured. Along with this, the Madhya Pradesh government will bear the entire cost of treatment.
CM told the media in Indore that the incident is sad. It was here in the hospital that I got a call from PM Modi ji and the President. I told that everyone’s condition is almost fine. In adverse circumstances, doctors provided better treatment and God saved us from a major incident. Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya is taking care of everyone’s treatment. He also said that whether there is any conspiracy in this incident or not, it will also be investigated.

According to initial information, the fire broke out when colors and gulal were being thrown during the celebration of Dhulendi festival. During this time the priest was also performing the Aarti of Mahakal with Kapoor. Meanwhile, suddenly a fire broke out and engulfed the flax above. It is said that its burning part fell down.

According to Dr. PN Verma, Civil Surgeon of the District Hospital, 9 injured people have been sent to Indore. Two people are admitted here. Besides, 3 have also been discharged. About 20 percent of the people referred to Indore suffered burns. There is nothing serious about happiness.
