How to identify real Paneer
Take out the paneer brought from the market in a plate. Mash it with very light pressure with your hand. If it disintegrates, it means that there is no adulteration in it. On the other hand, if it does not, then it is possible that it is adulterated. Actually, the elements added in adulterated paneer spoil the properties of milk. This makes the paneer hard. Because of this it does not disintegrate. Pure paneer is not very sour to eat. Its smell should be mild and milk-like. If it smells too much or feels sour on smelling, then do not buy it even by mistake.
Other ways to identify Genuine Paneer

Whereas adulterated paneer may dissolve in water or break. Put a small piece of paneer in a pan and heat it without adding oil or water. When pure paneer is heated, the moisture will come out of it and its shape will remain intact. Whereas, fake paneer will break. A lot of water will also come out.
